Why Join the Adventure (JtA)? JtA is a community interested in experiencing life and making a positive impact.
This means embracing new experiences, pushing boundaries, and being up for the challenge. It’s also about seeking out the thrill of the adventure, taking the road less travelled, and appreciating the journey. “The world is one big adventure – DARE to go there!®”
Mt Maria College Petrie has invested more than $6.5 million over the past five-years to overhaul its campus almost completely. This is in a bid to drive the best-learning outcomes in the region.
More recently, the college has completed three classrooms, a new amenities block, and an extension to the sports centre, this includes a brand-new oval which has also been completed.
At a ribbon cutting ceremony, Acting Principal, Kerry Maher talked about her “deep” commitment to the students and their opportunities.
“I’m deeply invested in ensuring that students receive the opportunity to maximise their potential, and the opportunity to maximise student wellbeing,” Acting Principal Maher stated.
“Maintaining high expectations for learners, teacher practice, and embedding the Marist values in all we do are my key priorities.
“In this way, we can continue to nurture and inspire our students to be the best they can to go out in that world and make a difference, in the knowledge that they have the skills and dispositions to do so.
“I also strongly believe that parent engagement at our college is essential.
“It builds strong partnerships between home and school.
“It develops that relationship through open and respectful communication and a shared goal of maximising student learnings and outcomes.
“I want you to know that I lead a team of committed educators who are dedicated to the mission of teaching and learning, forever mindful and responsive to the needs of learners.
“So why don’t you come and see for yourself.”
And you can see this for yourself at the upcoming Virtual Enrolment Information Session Tuesday, 7 March from 6pm. Register for this event now – https://jta.link/MMCP.
