Bright Celebration

A young organisation that brings brightness to children in their darkest moments is turning two, and you’re invited to their birthday celebration.

• What: Bright Bags Birthday Celebration.
• When: Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10 am.
• Where: Caboolture Memorial Hall.

Bright Bags was created by Kerri Raedel, along with volunteers, to provide bags filled with essential items to children entering foster care or in vulnerable situations.

“Bright Bags QLD provides three different bag types for children in need, aged newborn to 17 years,” President and founder Raedel explained.

“The bag types are essential, hygiene, and birthday bags.

“We provide essential and/or hygiene bags, whether it be for children entering foster care or children in a vulnerable situation that need assistance.

“We do this in real time and consider every request to be worthy of being treated as an emergency.

“We also provide birthday bags for children in these same situations to ensure on their special day they feel some extra love.

“We fill our bags with everything age-appropriate – clothes, toys, books, and more to ensure the child uses and enjoys their Bright Bag immediately.

“We deliver throughout the entire Moreton Bay Region, including to child safety departments and foster service organisations, along with schools and daycare centres,” Ms. Raedel concluded.

With an ever-increasing demand often arising from deeply heartbreaking situations, the kind support of volunteers and community donations has allowed Bright Bags to brighten children’s lives at a time that seems so bleak.

Join Bright Bags on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10 am for birthday celebrations starting with the President’s opening and welcome. Meet the team, hear statistics on how Bright Bags have made a difference (including what bags, etc.), acknowledgments of support, a Q&A session where you can ask anything, a raffle with 10 hampers to be won, cake cutting and eating, the announcement of a special project, and an opportunity to mingle and meet like-minded people.
