Visit Moreton Bay joined The Dolphins to co-host key partners and stakeholders at Suncorp Stadium.

In a significant shift for the region’s visitor economy, Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) has officially rebranded as Tourism and Events Moreton Bay.

The announcement, made this week by CEO Luke Edwards, marks a new chapter for the organisation, which serves as, according to them, the lead destination marketing and events body for the Moreton Bay region.

“This change reflects the journey we’ve been on and the direction we’re heading,” CEO Edwards said. “It comes with a sharper focus on driving tourism growth, delivering standout events, and generating tangible economic benefits for local businesses.”

While the corporate identity has evolved, the familiar Visit Moreton Bay brand will remain the public-facing identity for campaigns, visitor engagement, and community inspiration.

The rebrand comes at a critical and exciting time for the region, with the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon, and the Queensland Government’s Destination 45 strategy guiding future tourism investment across the state.

Tourism and Events Moreton Bay will also relocate to a new North Lakes office from early August as part of the transition.

“This is more than a name change,” Edwards said. “It’s about positioning ourselves to make the most of every opportunity ahead.” The organisation welcomes questions and engagement from industry stakeholders as it embarks on this bold new phase.
