Day 20 was St Paddy’s Day, and it turned out to be one of the best we’ve ever had. We kept things relaxed, starting with a stroll and breakfast in the neighbouring town of Windermere before heading back to our home base in Bowness-on-Windermere.

From there, we made our way down to the waterfront for a drink overlooking Lake Windermere — the largest lake in England. With stunning views across the water, it was the perfect place to slow down and soak it all in. We then spent the afternoon lazily exploring the village before settling in at The Albert, which had fully embraced its Irish charm for the occasion.

What followed was an unforgettable St Patrick’s Day celebration, filled with live Irish folk music, singalongs, plenty of Irish beverages, and a pub atmosphere that couldn’t have been better. By the end of the night, we all agreed — it was the best St Patrick’s Day ever.
