Breakfast at Spoons for £3 (bottomless coffee included), then a big London wander: Leadenhall Market (yes, Harry Potter), Borough Market’s lunchtime chaos and our favourite hot mulled cider, plus drinks delivered via pneumatic tube at Cahoots Postal Office. Covent Garden to finish, Thai dinner at the local… and lights out by 7pm after 15,773 steps,…

Our second day in London kicked off with breakfast at Spoons again — a full breakfast muffin and bottomless coffee for £3. Not bad at all.
Fuelled up, we set off for Leadenhall Market, and it did not disappoint. It’s one of those places that feels like you’ve wandered into a movie set… which is fitting, because it literally was — a filming location from the first Harry Potter film. Beautiful architecture, buzzing little corners, and the kind of atmosphere you can’t help but slow down for.
From there, we braved the Friday lunchtime chaos at Borough Market (equal parts amazing and absolute mayhem) and tracked down our favourite hot mulled cider stall — a must-do, every time.
Then it was on to Cahoots Postal Office, where the fun really ramps up: our drinks were shot to us through the pneumatic tube system, like something out of a vintage newsroom.
Cahoots Postal Office.
Next stop: Covent Garden, for a proper wander, people-watching, and soaking up the energy before we called it and headed back closer to home. The day finished perfectly at our local pub with a cracking Thai dinner… and then, true to form, we were in bed by about 7pm.
A win, though — we lasted a whole hour longer than yesterday.
