River Thames at Hammersmith is the perfect scenic spot to have a pub lunch, then wander between the many other pubs before settling in for drinks and socialising.
And this is exactly what we did, starting with a lunch at the Old Ship, a pub with character and great food.
After lunch, we walked along the River Thames till we came across Rutland Arms. This is where we settled in for drinks and talking with each other about the UK adventures that lay ahead.
We were so fortunate to strike perfect weather, which meant crowds were out in big numbers. Many choosing to stand around drinking and chatting outside, overlooking the historic Hammersmith bridge.
