The coeducational high school is small enough to foster personal connections with every student, but big enough to provide an extensive range of opportunities. In fact, the college has a demonstrated record of providing more diverse opportunities than much larger schools.
This is delivered through being better resourced, more innovative in student engagement, and forming strategic partnerships with industry and other education providers such as UniSC Moreton Bay.
UniSC Moreton Bay is located within the same education precinct as Mt Maria College Petrie, giving students in years 11 and 12 opportune access to university subjects.
In terms of other pathways students can take, the college has an impressive record of getting students into fulfilling trade apprenticeships and traineeships. It is no secret that many of these options lead to way above average incomes and job satisfaction. Not to mention possibly leading to business ownership or being empowered to travel the world.
At the core of all this is the unrelenting focus on students gaining an attitude or mind-set of high expectations, resilience, and perseverance.
