Day 14 was a slower-paced adventure, and exactly the kind of day we needed. We started with a short but beautiful drive to the nearby town of Hebden Bridge, with one mission at the top of the list — coffee and breakfast. We found a gorgeous little coffee lounge that felt very much like something we’d stumble across back home, and of course we couldn’t resist trying the bacon and Biscoff croissant. Verdict? Not terrible… but definitely not something we’d order twice.
From there, we spent the morning wandering through town, taking in the canal, admiring the extremely friendly geese, and ducking in and out of the specialty shops that give places like Hebden Bridge so much character. Once we felt like we’d seen the best of it, we made our way back to Haworth to properly explore our own home base — and wow, were we impressed. It is an incredibly pretty town, full of charm, character, and, very importantly, an impressive number of pubs. After sampling a few along the way, we finished the day exactly where we needed to be: tucked away in the lounge at the Old White Lion, warming up with a mulled wine.
Daily Tally:
12,000 steps · 7.8km · 4 pubs
