Day 9 saw us say a sad farewell to our Polperro home, and to the magic of living in a village with the water literally on our doorstep. It was such a special place to call home for a few days, and leaving it behind was definitely a little bittersweet.
With the car packed once again, we set off through the countryside towards our next destination. Along the way, we stopped in the charming town of Ashburton, where we enjoyed an incredible breakfast inside a beautifully converted old library — one of those unexpected finds that makes a road trip even more memorable.
Back on the road a couple of hours later, we stumbled across what can only be described as one of the most epic random stops imaginable: Dunkertons. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, it felt like a hidden gem — a huge permanent tent filled with street food stalls, a deli, bars, and more cider varieties than we could possibly ignore. Naturally, we had no choice but to sample a few.
From there, it was on to our new home in Bourton-on-the-Water, ready to begin the next chapter of the adventure.
