Why Join the EDUCATION Adventure (JtA)? EDUCATION IS LIBERATION: Education is the single most important adventure because education unlocks potential, creates life defining opportunities and, with education, the world becomes a better place. This is why JtA is so focused on the education space.

The Spring Hill community is preparing to come together to honour the life of Talis Mark, a beloved teenager who passed away on 15 March 2025, at just 17 years old. A public memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 1 April at St James College, where Talis was known and cherished.

Born on 2 July 2007, Talis leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and deep connection to his family and friends. The Mark family has invited the wider community to attend the service at 10:00am, with doors opening from 9:00am. Guests are asked to be seated by 9:30am.

The service will take place at St James College, located at 201 Boundary Street, Spring Hill. Parking is available via Gloucester Street. For those unable to attend in person, the funeral will be live-streamed (you will be able to view the livestream on this page).

Following the service and burial, refreshments will be offered back at the college grounds. Talis will be laid to rest at Mount Gravatt Cemetery.

The ceremony is expected to be a heartfelt celebration of Talis’s life, filled with tributes, memories, and community support.
