The service is provided to help visitors, attendees, participants, volunteers, customers, and communities stay connected, access useful information, communicate, and share their experiences.

Wi-Fi details

Network name:
Join the Adventure FREE Wi-Fi

Password:
JOINtheADVENTURE

The password is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown.

There is no welcome page or additional sign-in process. Once your device connects successfully, you can begin using the service.

How to connect

  1. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone, tablet, or computer.
  2. Select Join the Adventure FREE Wi-Fi.
  3. Enter the password JOINtheADVENTURE.
  4. Wait for your device to confirm that it is connected.
  5. Return to your browser or application and continue online.

Some devices may take a few moments to confirm that internet access is available.

Why the network uses a password

The service uses a shared Wi-Fi password rather than operating as a completely open network.

This helps provide a more familiar connection experience and reduces security warnings that some phones, tablets, computers, payment devices, and other equipment may display when connecting to an unsecured wireless network.

The password does not make the service private. It remains a shared public-access network, and users should treat it in the same way they would treat Wi-Fi in any public venue.

What the service is for

Join the Adventure FREE Wi-Fi is intended for reasonable personal use, including:

  • Accessing event or venue information
  • Messaging friends, family, or colleagues
  • Checking email
  • Sharing photos and experiences
  • General web browsing
  • Using relevant websites and applications

The connection is shared by everyone using the service. Performance may change depending on the number of connected devices, venue conditions, radio interference, network demand, and the internet service available at the location.

Please be considerate of other users and avoid unnecessary large downloads, software updates, cloud backups, or sustained high-bandwidth activity.

Available at selected events and locations

Join the Adventure FREE Wi-Fi may be provided temporarily at an event or permanently at a supported venue or location.

Coverage, speed, and availability will vary from place to place. The presence of the network at one JtA-supported event or location does not mean it will be available everywhere.

The service may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn where required for operational, technical, security, or capacity reasons.

Not for critical event operations

The public Wi-Fi network should not be used for critical operational systems such as:

  • Ticket scanning and entry systems
  • Point-of-sale and payment terminals
  • Production and broadcast equipment
  • Event communications
  • Cameras, encoders, and monitoring systems
  • Security, access-control, or other essential infrastructure

What to expect

JtA works to provide a useful and accessible connection, but Join the Adventure FREE Wi-Fi is offered on a best-effort basis.

Temporary interruptions or reduced performance may occur because of:

  • Crowd density
  • Radio interference
  • Venue construction or layout
  • Available internet capacity
  • Upstream service interruptions
  • Equipment requirements
  • Weather or environmental conditions
  • Circumstances outside JtA’s control

The service should not be relied upon for emergencies, critical communications, financial transactions requiring uninterrupted connectivity, or any activity where connection loss could cause harm or significant disruption.

Staying safe on shared Wi-Fi

Although the network is password-protected, it is still shared by members of the public.

While connected:

  • Use trusted websites and applications.
  • Keep your device and applications updated.
  • Use a trusted VPN where appropriate.
  • Avoid sending highly sensitive information unless necessary.
  • Do not accept unexpected file-sharing or connection requests.
  • Confirm that you have selected the exact network name shown on this page.
  • Keep control of your device while at the event or venue.

JtA will not ask for your banking password, email password, social media password, or device passcode to provide access to the Wi-Fi service.

Fair and appropriate use

Users must not use the network to:

  • Break the law or infringe another person’s rights
  • Access, distribute, or promote harmful or unlawful material
  • Harass, threaten, or harm another person
  • Interfere with other users, devices, or event systems
  • Attempt to bypass network controls
  • Scan, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to connected systems
  • Distribute malware, spam, or deceptive content
  • Operate unauthorised servers or network services
  • Place unreasonable demand on the service

JtA may manage traffic, restrict particular services, limit connection speeds, disconnect devices, or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the network, the venue, the event, operational systems, or other users.

Privacy and network information

When a device connects to the service, basic technical information may be processed to operate, secure, manage, and troubleshoot the network.

This may include:

  • Device identifiers
  • Connection times
  • Assigned network addresses
  • Data usage
  • Signal and performance information
  • Security and network-management logs

Use of the service is subject to the JtA Terms and Conditions and JtA Privacy & Data Policy.

Having trouble connecting?

First, confirm that:

  • You selected Join the Adventure FREE Wi-Fi.
  • You entered JOINtheADVENTURE exactly as shown.
  • Your device has Wi-Fi enabled.
  • Airplane mode is turned off, or Wi-Fi has been manually re-enabled.
  • You are within the supported coverage area.

You can also try:

  1. Turning Wi-Fi off and back on.
  2. Forgetting the network and reconnecting.
  3. Restarting your device.
  4. Moving to another part of the venue or location.
  5. Temporarily disabling any setting that automatically rejects unfamiliar networks.

Because there is no welcome page, your device should connect directly after accepting the password.

Event or venue staff may be able to provide general assistance, although support may be limited during busy periods.

Connect, share, and Join the Adventure

Whether you are attending an event, visiting a venue, volunteering, competing, performing, working, supporting someone special, or simply exploring, we hope the connection helps you enjoy and share the experience.
